Message	this again may or may not help...but even with the door panel off i think it's the best view i can get into the guts of the mechanism. more sizes the topmost green dot is where the lock cable comes out of its thick black sheath and connects to a metal lever. the red dot is the rod that runs from the interior door handle to the latch that opens the door. that lever connects to a vertical rod, which is marked by the leftmost green dot in the picture. it run down to a green plastic piece, which as far as i can tell, connects to another metal lever which works more of the mechanism closer to the actual lock, but i can't see beyond that. maybe this helps. i'm gonna grab by service manual to see if there's any magic in there. andrew davidoff
